FrontLine Partners with Ralph L. Wadsworth on Bangerter Highway CFI and Overpass Project
FrontLine has partnered with Ralph L. Wadsworth to provide complete Public Involvement services on this design-build project which traverses one of the Salt Lake Valley's most heavily travelled corridors. The project involves property acquisitions, partial ROW takes, establishment of easements and rights of entry to name of few of the require P.I. services. In addition, the project will utilize new technology in handling the vast traffic on the roadway and FrontLine's record of creative communications solutions is paramount.
FrontLine's established experienc with Design-Build and with handling difficult and challenging stakeholder issues was the primary reason RLW selected FrontLine to work on this challenging project.
FrontLine Nominated for Prestigious UDOT Projects
FrontLine was nominated in two separate categories by the Utah Department of Transportation at the annual UDOT Engineering Conference in November. FrontLine was nominated as “Consultant of the Year” for their work on several projects including S.R. 30, Riverdale Road, Washington Boulevard, 12th Street in Ogden, Hinckley Drive and others.
The Eagle Canyon bridge on I-70 between Green River and Richfield and the Hinckley Drive construction project in West Haven (Weber County) on which FrontLine provided public information services were also nominated as projects of the year.
FrontLine Awarded New UDOT Projects for 2011
UDOT recently selected FrontLine Public Involvement to perform a full range of public involvement services for the reconstruction of Ogden’s 12th Street from Washington Boulevard to Harrison Boulevard. They also award FrontLine a separate project entailing reconstruction of Washington Boulevard from 26th Street to 36th Street. Each of the projects is scheduled to take one construction season.
I-15 CORE Update
FrontLine continues to provide Public Involvement services for the largest highway construction project ever undertaken by the State of Utah. FrontLine was selected from a large pool of firms who submitted proposals for the project. The project is nearing the 15% completion mark and has gained strong public support as information and understanding of the construction process is communicated. Dave Asay is the FrontLine representative “on-site” and has established excellent relationships with community leaders and many of the hundreds of businesses on the project corridor.
The I-15 CORE Project is almost 25 miles in length and travels through some of the most heavily populated cities in the state. The project, even though very large, is on schedule to be completed by December 2012.
Riverdale Road Update
The third of 4 construction phases has now been completed on the busy Riverdale Road project that connects Roy and Ogden and travels through South Ogden and Riverdale cities. UDOT is hopeful the fourth and final phase of the project that runs from Roy city to I-84 will be funded by the 2011 Utah State Legislature. Dez Ragan worked closely with UDOT and Granite Construction to address hundreds of stakeholder requests and concerns as have been recognized as one of the key contributors to the success of the public’s perception of the project. Dez has been with FrontLine for more than 5 years.
Dixie Drive Interchange Update
The new Dixie Drive Interchange located at approximately milepost 5 in St. George, Utah is moving ahead on schedule. FrontLine was instrumental in working with the Contractor, UDOT and several key stakeholders to work out a new alignment for one of the major surface streets which will result in a much improved traffic flow. Lisa Beck, FrontLine’s Vice President has worked tirelessly to ensure that the interests of UDOT are addressed while carefully coordinating the new alignment effort with stakeholders. FrontLine is contracted on this project with Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction. The project is expected to be completed spring of 2012.
Ogden 12th Street (west of Washington Boulevard)
Marty Asay has had his hand very full the past two summers with the huge reconstruction of 12th Street in Ogden. He was very successful in bringing together a committee of stakeholders who had experienced a number of issues during construction and turn them into a positive source of feedback for the project. Marty will continue on with the construction of the east side of 12th Street during the Spring and Summer of 2011.

Dez Ragan achieved the highest scores ever achieved on a project by FrontLine based on a quantative survey that was conducted. Of more than 55 respondents, 100% felt they had been well informed about the project, more than 91% of respondents mentioned Dez by name and showed her as the "other" most effective means of receiving information and and average of 90% indicated that if they had issues that required contacting the project, they were satisfied 100%!.has had his hand very full the past two summers with the huge reconstruction of 12th Street in Ogden.
